Optometrist

Hi, I’m Higinio Cantres-Carmona. I pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University and earned a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry. I began my career in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and soon moved to the west Texas town of El Paso. A place I now call home. I initially saw patients in a corporate setting and have always wanted to have my own practice. In February of 2020, the dream became a reality and Sky View Optometry opened its doors. I love what I do! Helping patients maximize their visual abilities. Living in the dry region has sparked an interest in treating eye issues related to the area. Nearsightedness or myopia is growing in our youth. Soon, I will be placing a major focus on the issue. I have a lovely wife and two children who I love spending time with. I like being outside. I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, or grilling with friends. I love the Texas Aggies, Dallas Cowboys, and the Houston Astros.
